FAQs
Why are briquettes difficult to form?

Briquettes can be difficult to form due to two main factors:

  • Material size and moisture content

Ensure that both the material size and moisture content are properly controlled. The temperature of the heater on the briquette machine should also be set correctly. Preheating the forming area in the briquette press before feeding the material can help. High temperatures soften the feedstock, making it easier to compact and bind the particles together.

  • Tolerance clearance

The tolerance clearance between the screw rod (also known as the spiral spindle) and the sleeve plays a significant role in the briquette formation process. Different materials require different clearances. Ensuring that the tolerance is consistently accurate is critical to achieving well-formed briquettes.

What is tolerance clearance for briquetting?

The tolerance clearance refers to the gap between the screw rod (spiral spindle) and the sleeve in mechanical briquetting machines. This clearance allows the material to be compacted under high temperature and pressure. As the material moves between the screw rod and the sleeve, it is squeezed into the desired shape. The precision of this clearance is crucial for producing high-quality briquettes.

What are the uses of biomass briquettes and pellets?

Biomass briquettes and pellets, made from agricultural and forestry waste, offer a high-density, high-thermal-value renewable fuel. They reduce air pollution and carbon dioxide emissions, serving as a sustainable alternative to fossil fuels like natural gas and coal. Applications include domestic fireplaces, small to medium-sized biomass boilers, and industrial power and heat plants.

What is a coke briquette machine?

A coke briquette machine is a compression machine that transforms raw materials into high-density briquettes. Utilizing high pressure, it compacts loose materials together. These machines process not only coke powder but also other powders like coal and charcoal.

Can a mechanical stamping briquette machine make small or large briquettes better?

The briquette size and quality depend on the compression ratio of the forming mold, not the size of the briquettes themselves.

What are the benefits of making briquettes?

Briquettes offer a sustainable way to recycle materials for energy savings and environmental protection. They transform waste into valuable resources, significantly reducing waste volume and disposal costs.

What types of metal chips can be briquetted?

Our briquetting machines can process a variety of metal chips and powder, including aluminum, steel, stainless steel, brass, titanium, cast iron, copper, and nickel.

Can I have my raw material tested before buying a briquette machine?

Yes, we offer raw material testing on our briquetting machines to demonstrate output quality and determine the best machine for your needs. We provide photos and videos of the test, and you can evaluate the briquettes at your facility.

What is the production capacity of a briquetting press?

The production capacity varies based on the briquette size (finished ball size) and the material's density.

What is the difference between a briquetting machine and a hydraulic briquetting press?
  • Briquetting Machine

A general term for machines that compress materials (biomass, coal, metal fines) into briquettes using mechanical force. Finished briquette shapes include flat circular, elliptical, pillow-shaped, and granular, with custom mold options available.

  • Hydraulic Briquetting Press

A specific type of briquetting machine that uses hydraulic pressure for compression, offering greater control and higher pressure for denser briquettes. Finished briquette shapes include flat cylindrical, rectangular, cubic, pie-shaped, and brick-shaped, with custom mold options.

What materials can be processed in a briquetting machine?

Briquetting machines can process various materials, including coal, charcoal, metal fines, and biomass (wood chips, sawdust, straw), depending on the machine's design and capacity.

How much pressure does the briquetting machine generate?

The pressure generated varies based on the machine type and material being processed. Generally, YUKE briquetting machines can produce pressure from 0 to 32 MPa. Hydraulic briquetting presses provide higher pressure compared to mechanical machines.

What is the production capacity of the briquetting machine?

Production capacity depends on the machine's size and model. Small machines can produce 100-300 kg of briquettes per hour, while larger industrial models can yield 1-30 tons or more per hour.

What energy source is required for the briquetting machine?

Most YUKE briquetting machines are electrically powered. However, diesel-powered versions are available for areas with unstable electricity. Hydraulic presses require both electricity and hydraulic oil.

What maintenance does the briquetting machine require?

Regular maintenance includes die wear checks, hydraulic oil replacement (if applicable), and machine cleaning. Inspecting the motor and pressure system for malfunctions is also crucial.

Are there specific requirements for raw materials?

Yes, raw materials must be properly prepared for briquetting. They should be dry (8-12% moisture content), free of foreign objects (stones, metals), and within the machine's specified size range.
